Executive Dashboard Software | How to Value a Company with Qvinci
Book Value
Book Value = Total Assets - Total Liabilities
How To Use This Executive Dashboard Model
To use this model fill in Total Assets and Total Liabilities. You can use other numbers that are not actual current numbers to see the difference. This method is the baseline approach to valuing a company.
What This Does For You
This shows you the book value of your company or of one section of your business. It also shows you these two things:
1. It is the total value of the company's assets that shareholders would theoretically receive if a company were liquidated.
2. By being compared to the company's market value, the book value can indicate whether a stock is under- or overpriced.
